steer
Holds one of the game’s movement keys down for the creature you control, with no key pressed and the window not in front: the creature is steered as by the keyboard, by the engine’s own Drive command (order with move is another thing, a walk to a point). Pass direction and ms, how long to hold it, or release: true to let go of every direction held.
The direction is by the way the camera faces; left and right strafe, they do not turn. The creature runs or walks as the player has it set, and stops when nothing is held. A second direction held while a first still is adds to it (forward and left go diagonally). The game takes movement keys only in explore or combat mode, and not in a conversation or a menu.
The answer says what is held and for how many more milliseconds, who is controlled (with its position), whether the window is in the foreground, and a cursor: wait_for eluvian.command.started from it shows the Drive command. Each hold ends by itself after its ms; read the creature again then to see how far it went.
