events
Returns the events since a cursor, in order: what happened in the game (topics eluvian.*) and what mods emit (under their own prefix). Each event has its sequence number, frame and time.
The answer includes next, the cursor to pass as since next time (other tools’ answers call theirs cursor), and missed, how many events were too old to keep.
Without since it reads from the oldest event held, not from now. To see what an action causes, call with since: "end" first, act, then read from the next it returned. Filter with topic and match; describe lists the topics instead.
Read-only: it changes nothing in the game.
Arguments
| Name | Type | Required | What |
|---|---|---|---|
topic | any | A topic (“eluvian.command.ended”), a prefix (“mymod.”), “”, or an array of these. Default: every topic. | |
match | object | Payload fields the event must have, with equal values; nested objects match as subsets. Creatures are ids like “0x7d9”: {“id”: “0x7d9”}. | |
since | integer (≥ 0) or any | Where to start reading: next from the last read, or cursor from another tool’s answer. “end” returns no events and next set to now, to read from after acting. Default 0: the oldest event still held. | |
limit | integer (≥ 1, ≤ 1000) | The most events to return. Default 100. | |
describe | boolean | If true, lists the topics (those matching topic), what each means and what its payload holds, instead of reading events. Default false. |
Call it as events over MCP, or POST /api/tool/events with the arguments as JSON.
